PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Foil-scrim-kraft (FSK) is a flame retardant, vapor-barrier, and it is one of the most commonly used facings in the insulation industry. High-strength foil-scrim-kraft paper all laminated together using a flame-retardant adhesive.

HVAC Foil-Scrim-Kraft Tape is FSK backing coated with solvent-based acrylic adhesive, protected by an easy-release Silicone paper liner. It is also named FSK Insulation Jacketing Tape.

FSK Insulation Jacketing Tape is designed to seal FSK-facing fiberglass duct board and pipe insulation against moisture and vapor. It can also be used for patching rips and tears in foil-facing insulation and can be used with fiberglass duct wrap for added strength.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS:

FSK tape is used for sealing HVAC duct seams and joints where FSK is the basic insulation facing. Foil scrim kraft (FSK) tape has a combined backing of aluminum foil, kraft paper, and fiberglass scrim. The combined backing properties result in a strong tape that provides a barrier against vapor. FSK tape is used for sealing and patching FSK ductwork and insulation and provides a finished look for exposed HVAC systems.
