PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

3-way Black Polypropylene-Scrim-Kraft backing, combined with a high performance solvent acrylic adhesive, protected by an easy-release silicone release paper.

PSK Duct Wrap Seaming Tape is designed to provide a vapor barrier seal on HVAC duct insulations. The tape is offered in white or black to match the two color offerings (white and black) of PSK-facing duct insulations. PSK seaming tape is tear-resistant and offers a super high-tack, acrylic adhesive that bonds tightly to surfaces. The tape can be used on applications that operate within a wide temperature range: -20°F – 260°F/-29°C -126°C.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS:

Customers now have the choice of 3 different insulation facing colors: Black PSK, White PSK, or Silver FSK (Foil-Scrim-Kraft). The Black and White PSK were designed for aesthetically targeted applications, while the Silver FSK is intended for more traditional applications, like those behind closed walls or ceilings.

Adhesive transfer tapes are rolls of pressure sensitive adhesive pre-applied to a special release liner. Normally Adhesive transfer tape has no carrier. Scrim reinforced adhesive transfer tapes has diagonal scrim as the carrier add stability. The transfer tape with scrim adds extra support to the adhesive. For application the tape is positioned adhesive side down to a surface and the liner is removed, exposing the backside adhesive allow the adhesive to cleanly and completely transfer to uneven surfaces.

Sanding belt splicing tape is also called abrasive belt splicing tape, abrasive belt joint tape, sanding belt joint tape, and abrasive belt butt tape.

Abrasive belts splicing tape: It has a wide range of applications of produce the abrasive belts. The splicing tape for butt splicing the sanding belts. When sanding belts manufacturer converting the sanding cloth to a looped sheets products, then use the the splicing tape to joint the sanding cloth.

The applicable range of each angle is ±1˚. For example, 67˚ tape is also suitable for abrasive belt joints with 66˚ and 68˚ cut angles. 75˚ tape is also suitable for abrasive belt joints with 74˚ and 76˚ cut angles.

The joint cutting angle of narrow belts is mostly 67˚, and the joint cutting angle of wide belts is mostly 75˚.

Other angles can also be made according to customer needs.

The standard width of tape: 19mm and 25mm. 19mm wide tape is widely used.

The standard length of tape rolls: 100 meters.

How to use Sanding belts splicing tape make the Abrasive belt joint?

 The manufacture of an endless abrasive belt from a roll of abrasive paper or abrasive cloth requires that both ends of the previously cut-to-length section of the roll be joint by Abrasive belts splicing tape permanently. The so-called belt joint usually runs at a 55˚, 57˚, 75˚ angle to the running direction of the belt in order to prevent an abrupt transition at the junction.

The abrasive backing (paper, cloth, plastic) used and the application (machine, contact element, work piece) determine the type of the Abrasive belts splicing tapes.

The butt splicing joint which is formed by two ends that abut each other and are joined by means of a narrow strip of Abrasive belts splicing tape on the reverse side of the belt.

How do you measure holding power of adhesive tape?

Holding power

Resistant force of the adhesive tape, which is applied to stainless plate with static load (Typically 1kg) attached to the length direction.

Distance (mm) of displacement after 24 hours or time (min) elapsed until the tape drops from the stainless plate.

How do you measure Tack of adhesive tape?

Force that is needed to adhere to adherend by light force. The measurement is done by setting adhesive tape with the adhesive face upward to the inclined plate with the angle of 30˚(or 15˚), and measure the maximum size of SUS ball, which stops completely within the adhesive face. This is the effective method to find initial adhesion or adhesion at low temperatures.

What is Peel adhesion Test?

Force that is generated by peeling off the adhesive tape from stainless plate to the angle of 180˚(or 90˚). It is the most common property to make a selection of tape. The value of adhesion varies by temperature, adherend (material the tape to be applied to), applying condition.
